On-Site Windows Service
Windows Servers
We have been deploying and
servicing Windows servers, since the product line was first
introduced. Some of you may remember Microsoft's first Windows
server could not create a routing table, to get around that you
would load Windows for Work Groups, and run a Virtual session in a
Window, which would then generate a routing table for Windows NT.
Windows servers have come a very long ways, today they've
actually become quite stable. If setup correctly, you will
find it very close to Unix/Linux in terms of reliability.
We have found that if properly configured, Windows can be made into a fairly
constant work environment.
Windows servers are the most common server in service today. Which means
in most cases, we're seening Windows servers when we first meet new clients.
In most cases, we see the same very common errors are made when the server
was rolled out. Some of these errors can be fixed with quick and simple
changes, some of these errors are such that the only real fix is to reload
the system from scratch. This decision is often based on budget, and, or
the role of the given server, such as a Terminal server for remote sales
staff, which is in use 27/7 a day.
We have a number of NT 4.0 servers, that have been in production for well
over 6 years now, and they are only offline when an extended power outage,
or scheduled maintenance occurs.
If you
have Windows 2000 or 2003, even better, much more solid product to
service.
We stand behind our work, if we can't fix it,
we won't write a bill. Server billing rate is billed
at $ 93. dollars an hour, general computer repair is $ 70. dollars
an hour.
Windows Workstations
If you have been purchasing desktop computers over the past decade, most
or all of them have been deployed with Windows. At least 90% of our time
is spent devoted to Windows service calls. Now, that doesn't mean that
we spend 30 hours over 10 visits to fix a simple printing problem like
the last few service companies did. It does however, reflect the industry
as a whole... Microsoft has done a good job marketing their products, and
they own the desktop market. We custom build and tune each of our desktop
computers to last. We always demonstrate the speed and quality of our systems
when delivered, and we always have at least one key user test ALL of your
day to day tasks, BEFORE we walk out the door. Most of the service calls
on our desktops stem from user created problems, like virus, spyware, and
file deletion. As soon as we see signs of an user created activity that
will cost you money, we will bring it to your attention immediately.

Windows Service Contracts
Already have a number of Windows computers running, need to have some one
keep them running correctly? We have a couple of products for that:
- On-site service contract
- Remote monitoring contract
Each product has it's own place, offering differing types of service based
on your company's needs and budget.
On-site service contract
Just like car insurance, if something happens to that server or workstation,
we'll come to your site and fix it, period. Depending on the issue, we
may or may not bring the server to shop. In either case, we'll get that
system up and running the way it was.
Remote monitoring
The server or system is setup to email our shop if and when problems occur.
In addition, we'll login once a month and make sure the system is looking
and running correctly, and notify you of any problems before they happen.
